WELCOME! Thanks for checking out this site. There are currently three full time Speech/Language Pathologists, and one part time speech clinician employed by Albany Area Schools. My personal work setting involves a wide range, including preschoolers through fifth graders at both Albany Elementary and Holy Family School. Each of my ten years at Albany Elementary have been a pleasure, as I've had overwhelmingly positive connections with dozens of creative students, a knowledgable & helpful staff, and countless engaged, supportive parents too. My main objective is to improve the communication functioning of each student and to create positive and lasting relationships in the process. Many of the students that receive speech/language services have needs with their speech pronunciation, language expression or comprehension, speaking fluency, voice quality, or vocabulary development. Some of the basic duties of a Speech/Language Pathologist include screenings, assessments, direct service, consultation, paperwork (daily notes, Individualized Education Plan formulation, progress reports), and various meetings. It has been an honor to serve and invest in the Albany community! Thanks again for taking a look.
